Campaign Story
Greetings,
We’re Chris and Faith. I’m 35, and my husband is almost 37. We began trying to conceive naturally in November 2024. Because I have stage 4 endometriosis, we knew it might take longer, but we never imagined we wouldn’t conceive at all. We chose to wait until we were more stable financially and personally, and while we don’t regret that decision, it has made this journey more challenging.
At this point, we’ve been faced with the reality that an intensive, medicated, and closely monitored IUI — and possibly IVF — may be our only chance of having biological children.
Unfortunately, our insurance (like most) does not cover fertility testing or treatment. This means every consultation, test, medication, and procedure is paid entirely out of pocket. The average cost of one IVF cycle is $20,000–$30,000, and even at some of the top clinics in the country, success rates are still under 60%. This means we may need multiple rounds, but we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.
For now, we’ve decided to pursue a hybrid approach: an IUI with follicle‑stimulating medications (IVF medications), Letrozole, a trigger shot, and close monitoring before making the difficult decision to move forward with IVF. Even this approach is expensive, and we already have a balance building with our clinic that must be paid before we can continue treatment.
With all of this in mind, we’ve decided to start a fundraiser to help offset some of the out‑of‑pocket costs. We want to stress that if you are not in a place to donate, we completely understand. This is a vulnerable place to be, and we know life is expensive — many of you have kids to feed, bills to pay, and your own medical needs. We appreciate any prayers, positive thoughts, and good wishes.
If you are in a place to donate, here’s how the fundraiser works:
Above, you’ll see a picture of our puzzle — 520 pieces in total. Each piece is $10, and you can purchase as many as you’d like. When you donate, your name will be written on the back of your puzzle piece(s) and added to the puzzle. Our hope is to one day frame it and hang it in our baby’s room as a keepsake of all the people who helped make this dream possible.
If you’ve made it this far, thank you for sticking with us through our novel. We are so grateful for the love and support we’ve received, and we cannot wait to see what the future holds. Becoming a mother has been my dream since I was a little girl. I’ve always imagined the day I would hold a child of my own — someone to nurture, love, and guide. Thank you for taking the time to read our story. We truly have nothing to lose and everything to gain. If you cannot donate, simply sharing our story means more than you know.

▪️ A progress bar — I’ll try to update this at least weekly. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who has donated so far. This is not a journey anyone ever wants to be on, but it has shown us how many people love us, support us, and are walking beside us. We are beyond grateful.

On our way to $2k - Puzzle Fundraiser
Small update on our TTC fundraiser 💜
When we first started it, we set a $10k goal in case IVF was our next step. After talking with our doctor, we’re going to try a medicated IUI cycle first, which is much less expensive.
To make it more fun and interactive, we turned the fundraiser into a puzzle challenge. Each $10 donation fills in one puzzle piece as we work toward raising about $2,000 for our first medicated IUI cycle.
If anyone wants to claim the first puzzle pieces, we’d be so grateful. And if donating isn’t possible, sharing our fundraiser helps more than you know.
Thank you for supporting our dream of becoming parents. 💜
